Welcome to the first week of your future…

Congratulations on making it to one of the UK’s top universities, despite what 2020 may have had in store for us all. While this might not quite be the Freshers week you had in mind, our team have been hard at work creating a week filled with content to help welcome students new and old to campus. From the Fresher’s fair, to nights out, we’ve pulled out all the stops to make this week as good as it can be and we hope you’ll enjoy what we’ve got to offer.

If you’re thinking “These guys seem cool, I’d like to help them make more fantastic radio content” then great news, you can join us! We’re always looking to welcome new members to the Bailrigg FM crew so shoot us a message on Facebook, Twitter or send an email to and we’ll get back to you with all you could possibly need to know about joining us.

The music to soundtrack Freshers and beyond…

Our music team have been hard at work creating the ultimate Freshers week playlist to carry you through whatever life throws at you. From pre-drinks with your new best mates, to hastily looking presentable for a Teams call, we’ve got you covered with over 500 of today’s biggest hits along with classics from decades gone by. Keep your ears open for a selection of our favourites playing on-air throughout Freshers week.

Looking for our on-air playlists? You can find them here, we update them weekly with some of the hottest music around to keep the airwaves fresh.

Sit back, relax and let us entertain you…

Being a radio station gives us quite the catalogue of content to showcase the great work of members. If you’ve got an hour spare, why not have a look through our content vaults filled with previously aired shows and exclusive podcasts aplenty.

All our content is made by students, for students meaning we cover the real issues you care about. From the wacky mystery investigations to student politics, we’ve got something for everyone’s tastes.
